Berlin central station

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:49 AM Berlin Hauptbahnhof, Tunnel Tiergarten Spreebogen, Europacity, Moabit, Mitte, Berlin, 10557, Germany

We are here at Berlin Hauptbahnhof, waiting for our train to Wrocław, Poland. The journey takes about four hours. Our train, EC 57, was scheduled to arrive at 12:52 PM but was around 20 minutes late.

The station is unusually crowded today, so I attached a few photos of the Regionbahn and IC trains we saw while waiting.

Once onboard, the EC train feels a bit retro but comfortable. The coaches have separate compartments, which give a more private and relaxed feel. Seat reservations are mandatory and are included in the ticket price.

The train offers free WiFi with decent coverage and even has a restaurant coach, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or coffee during the trip.

🚉 Arrival at Wrocław Główny (Central Station)

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 3:22 PM peron 3, tunel centralny, Glinianki, Huby, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-086, Poland

We’ve arrived at Wrocław Central Station, and the place looks really impressive. It’s super clean, well maintained, and has lots of food options inside. I’ve attached a few photos to give a glimpse of how lively it feels.

If you plan to use public transport while in Wrocław, I highly recommend the Jakdojade app. You can top up credits directly in the app and buy day passes with ease.

Since we are staying for two days, we bought a 48-hour ticket that covers trams and buses from Friday evening to Sunday evening.

The tickets are very affordable, about €19 in total for three people. The city’s public transport system is modern, efficient, and well connected.

🏨 Stay at Radisson Blu Hotel, Wrocław

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 4:26 PM Address Unavailable

We’re staying at the Radisson Blu Hotel, which is conveniently located near the city center. It’s only three tram stops from the central station, and the ride takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The location is great, with most major attractions within walking distance.

The hotel itself is spotless, Probably one of the cleanest hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. It feels quite new and very well maintained.

The staff are friendly and helpful, making check-in and navigation around the city easy. The breakfast was expensive here (costing about 21 euros for adults and 11 Euros for kids - per day) , so we decided to have breakfast outside.

🍟 Frytki Sos – Street Fries Spot

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5:30 PM 14, Świętego Antoniego, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-073, Poland

Frytki Sos is a small fries stall located along the pavement. They serve freshly made potato fries with a variety of unique sauces.

We tried the mango sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. It had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy and tangy flavors.

If you are exploring Wrocław, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. The fries cost about €7, and they are worth every bit.

🌃 Galeria Neon Lights

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 5:50 PM 25, Świętego Antoniego, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-073, Poland

The Galeria Neon area is known for its bright neon signs lighting up the night. Unfortunately, when we visited, none of the lights were turned on.

The place gave me a bit of a Neukölln or Warschauer Straße vibe, with plenty of bars, pubs, and a young crowd around. You can see many couples and groups hanging out, but surprisingly it wasn’t very crowded.

It felt unusual for a Friday night, so maybe the crowd arrives later in the evening.

🍝 BUBE Restaurant and Pizza Place

Friday, October 24, 2025 at 6:06 PM 18-20, Świętego Antoniego, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-073, Poland

BUBE is a small Italian restaurant located near the Galeria Neon area. The vibe and ambience are really pleasant, and the place felt calm and relaxed when we visited.

It wasn’t crowded, and the service was excellent. We ordered three vegetarian pasta dishes, and they were all delicious. The total bill came to about €35 for three people. It’s a bit on the higher side, but that’s understandable since it’s located right in the city center.

Overall, this is a great spot if you’re looking for traditional Italian-style food. The taste was fresh and balanced, the kind of meal you could easily enjoy every day without feeling heavy.

📸 Photo Spot

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 7:34 AM Eugeniusza Geta-Stankiewicza, Cathedral Island, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-153, Poland

This is a great photo spot that offers a vantage point covering many of Wrocław’s historic attractions. From here, you can see the Tumski Bridge and the twin church towers, both looking stunning together in one frame.

It seems to be located near the university campus, and the view is especially beautiful during autumn, with the warm fall colors adding a magical touch. Truly an amazing place for photos.

🏛️ Market Hall (Hala Targowa)

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 7:44 AM Piaskowa, Cathedral Island, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-158, Poland

The Market Hall in Wrocław is a lively indoor market filled with local life and delicious aromas. It houses a mix of food stalls, bakeries, cafes, and specialty shops, all under one beautifully preserved historic roof.

At the back, you’ll find a large flower section bursting with color and fragrance. Around the hall, there are small shops selling herbs, Turkish sweets, handmade cheeses, and gourmet ingredients you rarely find elsewhere.

The architecture of the building itself is worth noticing. If you love exploring local markets, come here in the afternoon when it’s at its liveliest. Grab a snack, try some local pastries or cheese, and just enjoy watching daily life unfold.

🏰 Old Town Square

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 8:55 AM 3, Rynek, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-106, Poland

The Old Town Square of Wrocław is one of the city’s most vibrant and picturesque spots. It is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops, all set against a backdrop of colorful historic buildings that give the area its charm.

We visited early in the morning, so it was pleasantly quiet and not crowded. The calm atmosphere made it easier to admire the beautiful architecture and details of the old facades.

The square has a warm, inviting vibe that makes you want to sit with a coffee and simply watch the city come to life. It is a perfect place to start your day in Wrocław.

⛪ St. Elisabeth Basilica

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:09 AM Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-126, Poland

I didn’t get a chance to go inside the St. Elisabeth Basilica, but it’s a beautiful church from the outside and definitely worth a stop.

Right outside the church, there are three Gnomes waiting to be found, which makes it a fun spot if you are doing the Wrocław Gnome Hunt. If you are visiting with kids, I recommend picking up a Gnome Hunting Map from one of the nearby souvenir shops. It makes exploring the city even more enjoyable.

⭐ Amitabh Bachchan Star

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:26 AM 3, Kuźnicza, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-138, Poland

This was completely unexpected. I did not expect to find a star for Amitabh Bachchan here in Wrocław, along with a small statue of his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

It is quite surprising to see this little tribute so far from India, and it instantly caught our attention. A really unique and interesting discovery in the middle of the city.

🌉 Bridge of Penitents

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 9:41 AM 74, Szewska, Four Denominations District, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-121, Poland

The Bridge of Penitents is part of a fully functioning church, often referred to as the Cathedral of Penitence. It is both a place of worship and a popular viewpoint in Wrocław.

Visitors can climb up to the top — about 16 floors — to reach the bridge that connects the two towers. The view from above is absolutely worth it, offering a panoramic look over the old town and the Odra River.

There are also a couple of Gnomes placed near the church, adding a fun touch for families and kids. Entry costs around €11 for a family of three. Keep in mind that there is no lift, so be prepared for a bit of a workout on the way up.

🌉 Tumski Bridge

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:45 AM Most Tumski, Cathedral Island, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-327, Poland

The Tumski Bridge is one of Wrocław’s most iconic landmarks, connecting the mainland to Cathedral Island. As you cross the bridge, you’ll spot a few Gnomes along the way, so keep an eye out if you are doing the Gnome Hunt.

The area is scenic and peaceful, especially in autumn when the trees around the river turn golden and the views are stunning. It is a great place for a leisurely walk and to take photos of the skyline and the nearby cathedral.

Even if you are not visiting the cathedral itself, I highly recommend coming here. The area around the bridge has ice cream parlors, small cafes, and spots to take a boat ride along the river. It’s one of those places where you can simply slow down and enjoy the charm of Wrocław.

🍛 The Indian Island (Indian Restaurant)

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:22 AM 10, Świętej Jadwigi, Cathedral Island, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-266, Poland

We found an Indian restaurant located near Cathedral Island, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The place is small and cozy, but the food is excellent.

The meal portions are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable. If you enjoy Indian food or are craving something familiar during your trip, this spot is a great choice.

The flavors are authentic, the dishes are freshly prepared, and the overall experience feels truly satisfying. It is definitely a must-try for anyone looking for a taste of India in Wrocław.

💦 Multimedia Fountain

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12:37 PM Wittigowo, Dąbie, Biskupin-Sępolno-Dąbie-Bartoszowice, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 51-619, Poland

The Multimedia Fountain is located close to the Japanese Garden and is one of the most beautiful spots in Wrocław. Surrounded by greenery and open space, it feels peaceful and refreshing, especially during the autumn season when the fall colors make it even more stunning.

The fountain combines music, lights, and water shows, creating a relaxing atmosphere where you can simply sit back and enjoy the view. Even without a show running, the setting itself is worth visiting.

I highly recommend adding this place to your itinerary. It’s a perfect spot to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the city.

🌸 Way to the Japanese Garden

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12:41 PM Taiko Bashi, Wittigowo, Dąbie, Biskupin-Sępolno-Dąbie-Bartoszowice, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 51-619, Poland

The path to the Japanese Garden takes you past the Multimedia Fountain, making the walk itself quite scenic. The surroundings are filled with trees and open spaces, and during autumn, the area comes alive with vibrant colors.

It is a peaceful and refreshing walk, with plenty of photo spots along the way. If you visit Wrocław in the autumn months, this route is a must-see. The combination of the fountain, greenery, and seasonal colors makes it one of the most beautiful parts of the city.

🌿 Japanese Garden

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12:48 PM Japanese Garden, aleja Dąbska, Wittigowo, Dąbie, Biskupin-Sępolno-Dąbie-Bartoszowice, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 51-622, Poland

The Japanese Garden is one of Wrocław’s must-visit attractions. The entry tickets are quite affordable, costing about €7 for adults and €4 for children.

It usually takes 45 minutes to 1.5 hours to walk through the garden at a relaxed pace and fully enjoy its beauty. The landscape is carefully designed with ponds, bridges, and traditional Japanese plants, creating a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

If you visit during summer or autumn, the garden looks absolutely stunning. The colors and reflections on the water are incredible, and photos can hardly capture how beautiful it truly is.

If you are searching for a photogenic or Instagram-worthy spot, this is definitely the place to be.

🛍️ Flea Market outside Centennial Hall

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1:40 PM Zygmunta Wróblewskiego, Wittigowo, Dąbie, Biskupin-Sępolno-Dąbie-Bartoszowice, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 51-618, Poland

We had planned to visit Centennial Hall, but since it was already around 4 PM, we couldn’t go inside. However, we did get to explore the flea market set up right outside the hall.

The market had a variety of stalls selling used items, handmade crafts, antiques, and small food snacks. It had a relaxed, creative vibe that reminded me of the Berlin flea markets.

It wasn’t too crowded, which made it easy to walk around and browse. Overall, it’s a nice place to explore if you enjoy local markets or want to experience something offbeat in Wrocław.

🛒 Pasaż Grunwaldzki Shopping Mall

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1:54 PM Pasaż Grunwaldzki, 22, plac Grunwaldzki, Manhattan, Plac Grunwaldzki, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-363, Poland

Pasaż Grunwaldzki is a large shopping mall located near the city center, about one kilometer from the Radisson Blu Hotel. There is a tram and bus station right outside, making it very easy to reach.

The mall is spacious and modern, spread across three to four floors filled with a wide variety of shops. The top floor houses numerous restaurants, cafes, and a cinema, making it a great spot to spend an afternoon or evening.

The overall vibe is polished and lively, giving shoppers a comfortable and slightly upscale experience. Whether you want to shop, grab a meal, or simply unwind indoors for a while, this is a great place to visit in Wrocław

🏛️ National Museum of Wrocław

Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 3:11 PM Jana Ewangelisty Purkyniego, Cathedral Island, Stare Miasto, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-329, Poland

This is the National Museum of Wrocław, one of the city’s most beautiful historic buildings. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside as we were already scheduled elsewhere, but even from the outside, it was impressive.

The building looks majestic, especially with the red creepers covering its walls, giving it a striking and almost fairytale-like appearance. It is a perfect spot for photography, particularly during autumn when the colors stand out vividly.

Even if you don’t plan to visit the exhibits, it’s worth stopping by just to admire the architecture and the atmosphere around it.

💧 Hydropolis

Sunday, October 26, 2025 at 8:42 AM Na Grobli, Rakowiec, Przedmieście Oławskie, Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, 50-370, Poland

I’m at Hydropolis, a fascinating water-themed science exhibition that explores the importance of water and the incredible achievements of humankind in water engineering.

Tickets cost about €9 per person, and the price is almost the same for adults and children. The exhibition features a variety of interactive displays, multimedia installations, and beautifully designed lighting effects that make the experience both educational and visually stunning.

It’s an excellent place for kids, who will enjoy learning how water is processed and managed on a large scale, as well as discovering the scientific and environmental importance of this essential resource.

If you are visiting Wrocław with children, Hydropolis is a must-see attraction. It’s fun, informative, and inspiring for all ages.
